Cabot Place Shopping Centre (Pelli Clarke Pelli, 1990) is The Eighties Society’s Building of the Month for July. One of Canary Wharf’s most recognisable towers is anchored at pedestrian level by a grand, galleria-style centre of warm stone finishes. Interior details include beautifully designed sconces, skylights, and fine woods, marbles, and granites sourced from around the world. Later additions include Emma Biggs’ Pattern for Democracy mosaics from 2008.
